Bogdan Trocha born on 16 January 1963 in Nowa Sól (Poland). Doctor of philosophy and habilitated doctor of literary studies. Associate professor at the Institute of Polish Philology of the University of Zielona Góra. Manager of the Mythopoesis and Philosophy of Literature Workshop. Scientific director of a cyclical international conference: The latest Slavic literature and popular culture. Editor of the publishing series: The latest Slavic literature and popular culture.

Editor in Chief "International Journal of Slavic Studies Transgressive, Pragmatic and Speculative Horizons of Popular Literature"

Member of the editorial board: "Культурологическая мысль", “Studia z kultury popularnej”, “Dydaktyka literatury i konteksty”, “Filologia polska”, “Українська полoнiстіка”, Author of over one hundred scientific publications. Lecturer in the following disciplines: cultural anthropology, epic history, philosophy of nature, philosophy of God, world literature, history and theory of popular literature.

Research interests: anthropology of speculative fiction, mythopoetics, religion in popular culture.

2006 - Head of the Laboratory of Mitopoetics and Philosophy of Literature in the Institute of Polish Philology.

2010 - degree of doctor habilitated in humanities in the field of literature studies Habilitation cable: Myth degradation in fantasy literature at the Faculty of Philology at the University of Wrocław, 2010.

From 2011 - onwards, take up the position of Associate professor.

2019- resolution of the Council of the Faculty of Philology at the University of Wrocław based on a review of scientific achievements for the award of the title of full professor addressed to the Central Commission for Degrees and Titles.
